ACTIVITIES OF CLASS MATES 06-07

These above members discussed and agreed for some of the acivities that can be achieved through this fellowship group.

Such as:

Category I: Group Building

1. A group picnic every year

2. A gathering to discuss the functioning of this group

3. A one day visit to our SDM college

4. To help any member of group when it is needed

Category II: Social Cause

1. Scholorships (For Jounalism Students)

a. Highest scorer in the final year

b. College fees for a poor student.

Category III: Education

1. Sponser a seminar that takes place in SDM Journalism Dept.

2. Arrange for a seminar:

a. Any media related seminars with well qualified person

b. The group himself can present a seminar

Note: For now, these activities are only focused on our Group and Journalism department of our college.

Website: A suggestion came from the initial group members to have a website so that we can publish our activities and keep updated. There is also a option to create a blog and a facebook profile.

Financial Status:

This is a fellowship group and certainly not a fund raising co-operative society. But certainly for the above activities we need some amount of finance. There are some suggestions given bellow and these are from the initial members:

1. To have one bank account inorder to manage finance

2. To make a fixed amount of membership by each member.

To apoint a core group to mangage finances

Title: CLASS MATES 06-07

(This name is given because we studied in the same class(Mainly Journalism Class) and we bid farewell to our college in the year 06-07

Membership: outgoing Journalism batch of 2006-07

Vision: To foster and sustain realtionship rooted in unity for a good cause.

Objectives :

· To countinue our class spirit through this group

· To help each others need.

· To make our presence felt in this society

· To reach out people.

Since it’s a beginning the group can only focus on Journalism Department of SDM College Ujire. Later it can focus its acitivities on College level and with different depatments

Happy to see you once again....a great news is awaiting for you. its almost 4 years after we bid farewell to our SDM college and specially our Journalism calss (Year 06-07). Now a thought has been arrived to unite all our class mates(Only Journalism Class Of 06-07). This thought was developed by some of our class mates who met recently in Belthangady.

So a group named CLASS MATES 06-07 was formed and a rough blue print about its vision and functioning is presented to you. Please find a attached file over here, go through that file and do read it. Its not compulsory to join the group but its Voluntary. feel free to add any comment or leave your suggestions.
